Men’s Health and The Importance of Exercise

21310574090_healthy-valentine.jpgEvery person needs to seriously take an interest in their personal health. It’s so obvious when you walk down the street that many people do not even consider taking some form of exercise to stay fit and healthy. Or they might consider it but they never actually get around to doing it. I think this is very sad really, because lack of exercise can quickly lead to such health issues as obesity, cancer and heart disease. There is absolutely no doubt that a well balanced diet and some form of daily exercise will play a big part in our personal health. This means that you really need to have a decent diet and a regular exercise regimen. Whether you are a man or a woman it’s irrelevant. Since i am a man, i obviously read men’s health magazines and articles for advice. If you’re an up to date male, who wants to learn how to live a much longer life, then you should really be doing the same.
Have you ever actually wondered when your hair will start thinning or when your metabolism will come to a sudden halt? These are the common questions with men. I think it’s quite normal for most of us to start wondering the answers to these questions when we get into our 30′s. All of a sudden it hits us that were not teenagers anymore. The college life is long since gone and it’s time for us to become mature and to think smart. More than likely you will have a loving family of your own now. So it’s really time for you to think about your personal health and your future well-being for the sake of your family. When I turned 35 at the beginning of this year, this is exactly what I did. Okay, it wasn’t actually the same day, because i was too busy celebrating my birthday, but it was the day after. I suddenly began searching for health related articles and men’s health magazine subscriptions on the internet. I thought this was the best place to start. An issue that had been lingering with me for a while was prostate cancer. And it still is to this day. I read that many thousands of men are diagnosed with this form of cancer, and i don’t want to be one of them obviously. So i decided to start researching prostate cancer and find out if there were any ways in which it could be prevented, and to my delight, i found out there are a number of ways in which you can. This is a men’s health issue that you really should start thinking about.
The magazine called “men’s health” is such a great source of information. I subscribed to this magazine and i get it delivered to my door step. It informs you about all sorts of different ways to exercise, get in shape and eat healthy. Also, about the most common diseases and afflictions in men, such as prostate cancer, hair loss, erectile disorder and more. If you’re a man and you really want to become a much healthier person, then you need to learn more about men’s health today.

Common Men’s Health Problems

11310574136_ss8-1.jpgBefore starting my article I will like to say a few words about health.

“Every human being is the author of his own health or disease.”
“He, who has health, has hope. And he, who has hope, has everything.”
“It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.”
Men’s Health Problems

Hair loss, hair restoration and hair replacement is the second article in our series of common men’s health problems. If you missed the first article on erectile dysfunction you can access it by clicking on the link.

Our hair can start to recede at any age, mainly from the temples and the crown of the head.

For a small minority of men this can start in their teenage years, but for the majority of men hair loss is delayed until their late 20s and early 30s.

A small proportion of men don’t worry about hair loss; many others, however, become emotionally distressed by losing hair and suffer low self esteem, lose self confidence and even fall into depression.

Baldy Men

Women love baldy men, apparently it makes men look macho. Being a baldy myself this is a real bonus.

On a serious note premature hair loss is a big problem for men, especially younger men.

In this article we will explore the reasons behind losing your hair, over the counter hair replacement treatments and natural hair restoration remedies.

The first explanation I would like to offer is why hair thins or falls out as part of the natural human process.

Male baldness can be inherited, therefore if family members are bald then you are more susceptible to early hair loss. Hair loss can occur due to having too much of a chemical called dihydrotestosterone, or DHT.
Medical Causes of Hair Loss

All premature hair loss in men is not down to ageing or hereditary factors, there are a number of medical conditions that could be behind sudden hair loss such as:

* An Iron Deficiency
* Anemia
* Under Active Thyroid
* Scalp Infections
* Stress and Anxiety
* Reaction to prescription medication

If you have suffered sudden hair loss or are in any way worried about losing your hair; you should seek professional medical advice before the problem escalates.
Hair Restoration, Hair Replacement and Hair Transplant

There are many “apparently” successful surgical and non surgical procedures available to restore your hair.

Predominately these procedures are performed by private clinics; all who claim to be the answer to your hair loss prayers. I guess it is a matter of interpretation of what successful hair replacement means but anything that helps to restore your self esteem is fine by me.

I am sure there are some very happy customers out there and I would not attempt to besmirch anyone or any claims made but in my opinion the replacement results I have seen honestly look unatural at best and down right stupid at worst.

I certainly am not going to dismiss these procedures as I am not qualified, I am sure some will be very happy with the results and in the interest of fairness I have provided a video below that seems to be a successul outcome.

Focus On Women’s Health – Five Sure-Fire Ways To Help You Feel Better

21310574189_women-running-beach.jpgThe physical and emotional health of women can have much broader impacts on the people closest to them and, others may argue, the social and economic health of the society as a whole. This is because women are often the primary care givers for ageing parents and children, and can take on nurturing roles within their local communities and schools as well.

The physical, emotional and mental health of women can therefore be the basis for the good health of everyone else. Men, too, have their trials and challenges but for a moment let’s consider women’s health.

Whether it is in the home or workplace, whether as a new mother or grandmother, whether it is as sister or best friend, wife or lover, women lead very busy lives! Taking on these significant responsibilities, and trying to lead with strength and support with tenderness, can sometimes mean there is very little energy leftover to care for oneself.

To safe guard your own health and happiness consider the following five sure-fire ways to boost your quality of life, relieve anxiety and take better care of you.

Exercise: Exercise is nice to think about but not so easy to do, especially if you haven’t done much in a while. The amazing thing about it is that just a little has a big effect. It will improve your mood almost straight away, and over time, your muscles and bones, which in turn will improve your overall heath especially later in life after menopause. You will be so glad you did any, and if it can be a little weight-bearing exercise, even better.

Walking is the easiest way to start if you haven’t been active for a while. Start slowly and work up to a fast walk for 20 to 30 minutes several times a week. Biking, dancing and stair-climbing are also good and free. Joining a gym or yoga class is also a great idea, if you can manage it, but it takes more time and money because you’ll need to get to classes on time and may need guidance with some of the exercises.

Food: What you eat has a big impact on your energy levels and mood, as well as your general health. Eating enough fresh fruit and vegetables is important for energy and to ensure you get enough vitamins and minerals. Vegetables also assist in cleaning toxins from your system, as toxins can cause you to feel sluggish and gain weight.

Be sure to include plenty of water in your daily intake as well to make sure you stay hydrated; after all, your brain is depending on water to help you function at your best.

Relax: It is important for you to take the time to allow yourself to feel relaxed and peaceful sometime during your busy day. You may have a hobby, like to read, or enjoy your early morning tea alone. Take the time to be still at least once a day, and do something that feels good for you so you can have a moment where you can breathe and let your mind wander.

Surprisingly, without trying, you may find at this time that solutions to problems become evident. Laughter is another way to relax and let your thoughts go free for a short time. Try to laugh each day!

Regular checkups: There’s nothing worse than having an ache or pain and, not knowing what it is; you imagine all sorts of health problems.

Put your mind at rest and go see your doctor for the usual check ups. If you have no major problems you will worry less about the little aches and pains, and if you are heading for something serious, you will have caught it early which will help you get the best possible treatment sooner.

Try new things: Today it is easy to get good information about almost anything, from how to make a pond skimmer to how to keep the romance in your life. If there is something you’ve been curious about why not give it a try? From pottery to golf; guitar lessons to salsa dancing; digital photography to pattern making and fashion design. You could make your own cosmetics, eco-makeover your house, teach yourself to weld, or build a pizza oven in your backyard.

Learning new things, putting yourself in a situation to meet new people, and getting outside of your normal routine can improve yourself esteem and make life more interesting. You’ll be pleased you found the time to do something for you.

Women’s health and the human pheromone

11310574188_blackwomenandhealth.jpgSorry ladies, you will be seduced, pheromones make it impossible for you to resist men, no matter how dreadful the man wearing the pheromones may be. Wait, don’t panic. Sadly the pheromone marketing craze may be causing us to turn a blind eye to an interesting discovery. I think it’s like hearing about vitamins for the first time from a hard core drug dealer. When you get over your encounter with Mr. Dealer, you are not going to think of vitamins in the same way as a person who had heard about vitamins from GNC or Vitamin World. I believe the same thing is happening with marketers and pheromones. With that in mind let’s take a look at pheromones.

Most people still believe pheromones are no different from X-ray glasses sold in the back of comic books. Others have been using them for years. To be sure, they are used heavily by government agencies worldwide. Business uses them daily, you may even use them. Of course I’m talking about insect and animal pheromones.

It was well known by the late 70s that females of the insect and animal kingdom produced chemicals for attracting males of the same species. By the late 70s pheromones were already being manufactured for pest control. Pheromones were being used to attract or repel bugs and animals. Pheromones were already protecting crops from damage. Roaches were checking in and not checking out. At the same time scientist were working hard to find and prove the existence of human pheromones. This evidence was found in the mid 70s but did not reach the public with any power until the mid 80s.health

Human pheromones made front page news in 1986 when Researchers at the Monell Chemical Senses Center of Philadelphia released their findings to the scientific journal Hormones and Behavior, as well as to the public by way of:

Time Magazine: “Studies find that male pheromones are good for women’s health.”

News week: “The Chemistry Between People: Are Our Bodies Affected by Another Person’s Scent?”

USA Today: “The Real Chemical Reaction between the Sexes.”

The Washington post: “Pheromones Discovered in Humans.”

The human pheromone was big news in the 80s. It was found that women’s health was directly affected by male pheromone. Pheromones help to maintain the health of women. To be more exact, they keep a woman’s reproductive system healthy. A healthy testosterone rich male pheromone signature somehow encouraged a woman’s body to keep itself healthy and young. It can stabilize the menstrual cycle, and reduce the symptoms of PMS. Pheromones could lift a woman’s mood actually alleviating depression, even postpone and then alleviate menopause health.

How did we get from health benefits to wild seduction products? People can’t resist a fast buck. If it’s about money, maybe we should be using pheromone products to make women’s lives better. Strike that. We should be using pheromone products to make people’s lives better. Provide pheromones that do the things mentioned above. Help to enable pheromone research that will gain more knowledge related to health and longevity. I don’t have anything against attracting the opposite sex. I think that’s a good idea. It’s just sad to see a good thing, or potentially good thing, be lost because of poor focus health.

There is always more to the story than meets the eye. The person who does not ask questions has either been beaten down low by the people who know-it-all, or, they are the people who know-it-all. Keep asking questions. You will keep finding better answers.

The Road to a Healthy Lifestyle

21310737625_meditation.jpgA healthy lifestyle is a broad term covering several areas of life. Many people want to live healthily, but do not know where to start.
A healthy lifestyle pattern occurs primarily in mind and only then can move into action. In order to be mentally mature. Mentally mature, so we can properly weigh what is more worthwhile – now live unhealthy, damaging your body having a lot of severe chronic diseases in old age, or taking care of themselves and prolong life.
A healthy lifestyle begins with the exchange of attitude!   Healthy mind – healthy body start.
The first step – sit down and think about how you are living now and how would improve your life if you start to live healthy?
Do nothing, just think – you can imagine.
Think not only about the here-and-now surrounding routine, but also about the future – close and far,here-and-now and in old age, children, grandchildren, great-grandson. As all you may need a healthy in older age!
From thought to action !

When to start living healthy? From tomorrow, the next month,from Christmas, New Year, Easter? Major changes to the moral preparation is required, but is a distant date is right?
Time is running constantly, and each moment spent not returns! Why not to start a healthy lifestyle now-from this minute?
How to change your lifestyle?
Lifestyle should be changed slowly.
Imagine that you eat more fat this evening with a beer or a steak with wine, but tomorrow you will eat vegetables for breakfast, for lunch – cereal – for dinner vegetables again. Or, in the last year you was lying and watched TV, but tomorrow you will run 10 km or otherwise you will punish yourself  for overweight. Such a drastic change is the high stress to the body.
On the other hand many of these drastic changes never successful…
